A lamp standard known as 'Africa'. It forms part of a quartet of lamp standards named after continents, which were produced by the Coalbrookdale Company, the others being 'Asia, 'Europe' and 'America'. 'Africa' appears in the 1875 Coalbrookdale Company catalogue (No. 57A).
