This is a study of daffodils in a vase. Evan Walters experimented with a technique he referred to as 'double vision' between 1936 and 1942. His experiments were based on his own observation of the double vision that can be produced by looking at objects at a certain distance from the eye. The resulting paintings appear to deconstruct their subjects.
