A life-sized, full-length statue of Francis Crick wearing a suit and waistcoat, holding the DNA molecule. A Nobel Prize winner, Crick was educated at the Northampton Town and County Grammar School and went on to co-discover the DNA molecule. This sculpture is part of a series of five statues of historical figures with a strong connection to Northampton, which were commissioned following the popularity of John Clare, installed in 2016.
