Plaster statue consisting of two Roman women with furious countenances. The women are dressed in classical style clothes and are attending gladiatorial games. The foremost figure is leaning forward whilst giving the thumb down sign while the other one has her arms folded. The statue sits on a modern (2008) pedestal, with a gladiatorial helmet, short sword and relief panel all copied from the marble and bronze group at the Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum, Hartford, Connecticut, USA. The panel shows a further sectional view of the arena and audience – including the two female figures.
