It is possible this painting was that for which a local artist (unknown) was commissoned by the Prescot Urban District Council upon the succession of Elizabeth II to the crown. If it is that painting, although we cannot be entirely sure it is, it was on display in the Council Offices, now Prescot Registry Office, on High Street for around 20 years.
