More about

Bridport Town Hall was built between 1785 and 1787. It is a large red brick Grade I Listed Georgian building with a distinctive clock tower. It is located in the very centre of Bridport, one of the largest towns in Dorset. It is a large, handsome and relatively unaltered Georgian Building, the only known complete survival of a new build design by its designer William Tyler of London, who was one of the original members of the Royal Academy. The interior of the Town Hall was redecorated by Francis H. Newbery in 1925 and houses the largest collection of his work for public places.
