Situated amidst magnificent park and woodland, Callendar House tells stories spanning 600 years of Scottish history. Purchased by William Forbes in 1783, and then acquired by Falkirk Council in 1963, the house now serves as a museum and visitor attraction, and is the headquarters of Falkirk Council Cultural Services.

Callendar House is open all year, Monday to Saturday 10am–5pm, and Sundays from April to September 2pm–5pm. Researchers enquiring about works not on display should contact the Curator.
