More about

Bromley Historic Collections (BHC) brings together the London Borough of Bromley’s museum, archive and local studies collections. The collections are housed at the Central Library in Bromley High Street. The historic collections can be consulted at BHC’s well resourced search room situated on the second floor of the Library. The new Bromley Revisited Gallery tells the history of the whole borough through displays of social history, archaeology, natural history and decorative arts, taking the visitor on a journey from prehistoric times to the twenty-first century. The new Avebury Gallery on the second floor is dedicated to John Lubbock and his ethnographic collection. In addition there is an exhibition space on the first floor that hosts a changing programme of temporary exhibitions.
