More about

Chesterfield's Town Hall opened in 1939 and is home to seven oil paintings. Some of these are gifts from Chesterfield's twin towns of Troyes, Darmstadt and Yangquan.

Perhaps most significant are the protraits of Richard Arkwright Junior by Henry William Pickersgill and George Philip Reinagle.
