More about

Pickford's House Museum of Georgian Life and Historic Costume is housed within a 1770 Georgian town house, designed by local architect Joseph Pickford as his family home and business premises. Rooms are furnished in the style of the period, incorporating 18th century paintings from the Derby Museums and Art Gallery's collection, and include works by Joseph Wright of Derby. The upper rooms of the house host changing costume displays and a permanent display of toy theatres.
