Priseman Seabrook Collection: 21st Century British Painting

The Priseman Seabrook Collections

More about

The Priseman Seabrook Collections were established by British artist Robert Priseman and his wife Ally Seabrook in 2014 and are housed in north east Essex. The focus of each collection is on painting and drawing made by hand. The collections are formed into three categories – ‘21st Century British Painting’, ‘20th and 21st Century British Works on Paper’ and ‘Contemporary Chinese Works on Paper’. The Priseman Seabrook collection of ‘21st Century British Painting’ is the only art collection in the United Kingdom dedicated to painting produced in Britain after the year 2000. It contains work of international significance by leading artists including European Sovereign Painters Prize winner Susan Gunn, 54th Venice Biennale exhibitor Marguerite Horner, East London Painting Prize winner Nathan Eastwood, John Moores Prize winner Nicholas Middleton, Academy awardee James Quin, John Player Portrait Award Winner Paula MacArthur, Griffin Art Prize exhibitor Matthew Krishanu and Birtles Prize Winner Simon Burton. We especially welcome loan requests from schools, not-for-profit galleries and art museums in the UK and abroad. We have worked with, and continue to work with, venues including the Museum of Richmond, London, Huddersfield Art Gallery, University of Suffolk, The Minories Art Gallery, Colchester, Ipswich Museums and Gallery, China Academy of Art, Shanghai, XAFA, Xi’an and Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Museum, Nanjing. Priseman Seabrook can be contacted via email (admin@priseman-seabrook.org) to discuss requirements, terms and the availability of work for the preferred time scale. The collections are not open to the public otherwise.
