The Royston & District Museum & Art Gallery Collection ranges from archaeology to local history, textiles, ceramics and fine art. Most of the collection has been donated but several paintings have been purchased with grant support and the museum purchase fund. The art collection focuses chiefly on Ernest Herbert Whydale who lived in the town until his death in 1952.
