More about

Strathclyde Fire Brigade Preservation Group was formed in 1995 with the aim of restoring and maintaining for the benefit of the public, historic fire fighting appliances, fire fighting equipment and related artefacts, publications and documents. The Preservation Group also provides a 'Living Museum' facility by taking our exhibits to the public. Throughout the summer and winter months, the Group's vehicles attend events almost every weekend. It is our policy to support events, especially those with a charitable cause, the Fire Fighters Charity being one of the main recipients of our efforts. Our painting collection reflects this community of strong relationships between the firefighters of the past, present and future. The paintings include portraits and representations of significantly tragic and heroic events, some of which are executed by professional firefighters.
