The Museum is housed in Martello Tower no. 74, which is situated at the eastern end of Seaford seafront. Nicknamed the 'Tardis' by its visitors, there is a deceptive 5,000 square feet of display area, which includes the roof with cannon, entrance floor with museum shop, the lower floor of the tower and the covered dry moat area. There are fantastic collections of domestic appliances, a large radio & TV collection, and several tableaux showing lifestyles in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Local history collections include archives of old pictures and documents, and a registry of Seaford houses.

Seaford Museum is run entirely by volunteers and has very limited opening times. The collection of paintings and drawings are all held in the Museum but may be circulated for display. Items not on display are held in store or in archive folders. Group visits (schools or adult) or archive research can be arranged by appointment.
