A period house museum, originally built c.1790 for a wealthy sugar merchant and now furnished and displayed as a typical late 18th-century town house. The house includes a drawing room, eating room, study, kitchen, laundry and housekeeper’s room. There is a small display on slavery and sugar plantations.
The Georgian House Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 10.30am to 4pm from 1 July to 31 August, then Wednesdays and Thursdays and Saturdays and Sundays from 1 September to 31 October, and is closed during the winter from 1 November to 5 April.
