Visitors to the Munnings Art Museum in the former home of British artist, Sir Alfred Munnings, Castle House, can explore the life and work of this prolific East Anglian artist in the building he called ‘the house of my dreams’.
Hung throughout the elegant rooms of this Tudor and Georgian house is a series of carefully curated displays, selected from a large and significant collection of Sir Alfred's work. Visitors can get a sense of the working artist from his surviving studio in the grounds; and learn more about the man and his wife from favourite pieces of furniture, photographs and personal items, all of which are still in place in Castle House.
