label, verso: 79th Highlanders in 1840 at Gibraltar. Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. Robert McCleverty, Captain in the Regt was born 19th January 1809 & died 6th March 1845 in London - buried at Charlton near Woolwich. Tablet in Charton Church near those of his father, Majaor General Sir Robert McCleverty, Col Comdt Royal Marines, his mother Elizabeth, nee Maude and his uncle Maude.
