On this painting the artist works on a heavily textured canvas uses a mixture of impasto (thick paint) and thin washes of colour (glazes) to build up the painting. It is a traditional technique which explores many of the different ways oil paint can be used. Tindall was a founding member of the Doncaster Art Club.
