The artist became a painter after his career as a civil engineer. His work on large complex contracts with the need to get to the essence of problems led to his interest in the minimal. His larger paintings try to create connections to the inner parts of ourselves either by drawing you through or by giving a tranquil surface that allows you to stop and move about it yourself. This painting reflects his love of Greece and its mythology.
