The outer face of the corbel is carved with a grotesque head which is attached to a rectangular block. The mouth is open, and has what appears to be a strap carved at each corner which leads to the back of the head, and may represent a bridle. The rest of the face is very eroded, although the eyes are still visible. The head is topped by a crown or abacus which is carved in low relief with a series of curved lines. The upper and lower surfaces of the block to which the head is attached are roughly worked flat, as are the sides of the corbel.
