The outer face is carved with a ram's head, and is attached to a rectangular block, the sides of which are worked flat, and which would originally have been built into the wall. The horns of the ram curl on each side of the head, and the face is carved with round and rather bulbous eyes. The mouth, which would have been clearly visible from below when the corbel was in situ, is carefully worked.
