The lower section of the cornice is broken away, the upper surface is worked flat and edged by a roll moulding. The outer face is carved with the remains of the head of a 'green man', with foliage streaming from each side of the mouth. The eyes are heavy-lidded and the hair is thick and curly. A mason's mark is incised in the flat upper face of the stone.
