Head and shoulders portrait of John Twigg Homer. Born in Sedgley, he was Staffordshire County Councillor for West Coseley, first elected in 1889, and elected Alderman in 1904. Made a CBE, he was High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1923 and elected Chairman of the Standing Joint Committee in 1931. He was also a Trustee of the William Salt Library.
