Inscription description

in raised letters on a metal plaque affixed to the front of the base: LIGHT PYRAMID / By Liliane Lijn, 2012 / Commissioned in 2012 to replace the original basket beacon which / was situated on the Belvedere, but hit by lightning in 2002 and as a / result had to be removed. Made of steel and painted white, Light / Pyramid was first lit for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and is still lit / to commemorate special local and national events.
