A landscape of Llanstephan beach and estuary. Gareth Thomas trained as an art teacher at Trinity College, Carmarthen, but in 1979 he decided to leave the teaching profession in order to paint full-time. He has since exhibited several times in London and elsewhere. He is a member of the Watercolour Society of Wales and was elected a society committee member in 1984.
