There are a number of depictions of Moses in Sigmund Freud's collection. Freud referred to himself as a 'godless Jew' – he was from a Jewish family and proudly identified as Jewish, but he was an atheist who did not believe in an almighty God.

His final book, 1939's 'Moses and Monotheism', explored the life of Moses and controversially claimed he was Egyptian.
