The overmantel, removed from a house at the top of Glastonbury High Street demolished in the mid-19th century, has three rectangular panels with carved scenes of dancing, archery and wrestling. It was exposed to the elements for many years in St Thomas's Chapel, so the details are severely eroded. The overmantel was sketched by Reverend John Skinner in 1825, depicting the date '1494' in the centre of the middle panel.
