A large, full-length statue of Spencer Perceval. Perceval became MP for Northampton in 1796 and reached the peak of his political career in 1809 when he became Prime Minister. He was shot and killed at point-blank range in the lobby of the House of Commons by John Bellingham, a merchant who blamed the Government for his bankruptcy.
