A life-sized statue depicting Brighton-born Olympic athlete Steve Ovett in the running position, which was cut off at the ankle and taken from its plinth in 2007. The sculpture was modelled in clay from original photographic and video references and cast in bronze using the lost wax method. A replacement statue was unveiled on Brighton seafront in 2012.
