This painting depicts two contemporary standards with regimental emblems and battle honours, filed flintlocks, a soldier's haversack, a drum major's mace and sash, various musical instruments, three painted side drums and one painted bass drum, all surrounding a lying blackbuck (the Regimental Mascot) against a tropical background (possibly Bombay, India).
