A landscape showing a river which appears from the centre middle distance of the picture and leads off to the right. In the curve of the river stand two cattle drinking. To their left is a naked man bathing in the river. Two clothed men look on from the riverbank on the extreme left of the picture; one is standing, the other seated, and behind them are the bather's clothes. Above them towers a craggy rock, at the top of which are shrubs and a picket fence. In the centre of the picture, where the river bends, stands a large tree; there are smaller trees and a fence on the right bank. Fields and trees can be seen in the far distance.
