Two clothed men look on from the riverbank on the extreme left of the picture; one is standing, the other seated, and behind them are the bather's clothes. Above them towers a craggy rock, at the top of which are shrubs and a picket fence. In the centre of the picture, where the river bends, stands a large tree; there are smaller trees and a fence on the right bank. Fields and trees can be seen in the far distance.
