Yeats is a most important and influential Irish artist. The brother of poet William Butler Yeats, Jack used the medium of paint to capture the imagery and often magical qualities of Irish Folklore. This work marks the beginning Yeats' true style: a kind of impressionism. Yeats was always a keen painter of horses and ponies.
