A wooden carved female figure from Sierra Leone and possibly made by the Sherbro, Mende or a related group.

It has a long thin body and an over-sized head, abstract in style. The figure has been carved in one piece and has a dome-shaped base with a large split that continues on to the body section with the geometric shaped arms and shoulders. The neck is long and has two carved ribs running horizontally; the head has five deep carved ridges running from the front to the back.
