Charles Grosvenor graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. His senior thesis, The Aesthetic T. E. Lawrence, earned him highest honours in the Fine Arts. He wrote the book An Iconography: The Portraits of T. E. Lawrence and authored the essay 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom: The Visual Aspect' for The T. E. Lawrence Puzzle (edited by Stephen Tabachnick.)
Charles worked for thirty years directing animated films in California and currently illustrates children's books and resides in North Carolina with his wife, Carol, also an artist.
