Dr Christopher Warleigh-Lack is Property Curator for East Down, encompassing the National Trust’s only Treasure House in Northern Ireland, Mount Stewart.

Dr Warleigh-Lack has extensive knowledge of the art, architecture, landscape and social histories of the English and Irish country house, particularly of the eighteenth to twentieth century. Previously he was involved in the re-presentation project at Hillsborough Castle, part of Historic Royal Palaces and the residence of the monarch in Northern Ireland, and of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

His experience encompasses the National Trust in both England and Northern Ireland, Historic Royal Palaces in both England and Northern Ireland, and Limerick Civic Trust and Shannon Heritage in the Republic of Ireland.

Dr Warleigh-Lack is a published academic writer, and a Research Fellow at Queen’s University, Belfast, with whom he is a joint PhD supervisor and a visiting lecturer.

In his spare time, Christopher sails, practices yoga and, when his age permits, is a member of an inclusive LGBT rugby team – the Belfast Azlans.
