Emma Cieslik (she/her) is a religious scholar and public historian based in Washington, DC. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public History and Biology, and George Washington University with a Master of Arts in Museum Studies. She has conducted oral historical, archival, and ethnographic research within Catholic, Jewish, Pagan, Mystic, and LGBTQ+ communities among others.

She is interested in religious material cultures with a focus on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and religious traditions. Her current area of study is twentieth and twenty-first-century religious symbology. She currently works in collections management in museums in the DC area, and you can find her conducting interviews, attending drag shows, or wandering through galleries.
