Staffordshire Heritage & Arts' fine and decorative art collections have been acquired over the past 70 years. The fine art collection now contains over 700 prints, drawings, watercolours, maps and oil paintings. The paintings reflect the landmarks, landscape and people of Staffordshire, and locally and nationally known artists. Of the local artists represented in the collections, the key names are Thomas Peploe Wood (1817–1845), John Prescott Knight (1803–1881) and Mabel Frances Layng (1881–1937).
