More about

Brixham Heritage Museum (registered charity no. 306633) was founded in 1958 by the Brixham Museum and History Society for the purposes of recording, saving, researching and displaying the heritage of the historic town and fishing port of Brixham. The museum is located in a three-storey, brick-built building dating from 1902, which was originally the town Police Station. Exhibits are accessible to the public on two floors, with the office/archives/library occupying the top floor. The museum continues to rely on the generosity of the public for donated items (including paintings). Although only a small selection of the oil paintings are on permanent display the others held in the archive would be available for viewing by researchers on request to the museum curator.
