The Museum's comprehensive collection of objects, images and archives are used to present, in a vibrant and interesting way, the development of the town and the surrounding area from the Bronze Age to the twentieth century. The displays focus upon four main themes, archaeology, the Civil War, the development of the textile industry and the Second World War.

Congleton Museum is a local history museum, which is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm–4.30pm. Group visits and guided tours of the collection can be arranged by contacting the museum.
