More about

Hull Streetlife Museum opened in 2002, although there had been an earlier transport museum in Hull since 1925. It is one of nine sites that constitute Hull City Council Museums. The art collection, although quite small, is important for its depictions of early coach travel and has several works by the renowned mid-19th century artist Richard Dodd Widdas.

Hull Streetlife Museum is free and open to all. Located in the Museums Quarter, in the old town area of the city, it tells the story of transport from horse drawn carriages, early cars, trams, buses and bicycles to a reconstructed street scene with a 1940s Co-operative store and chemists shop.
