The 'Devil's Porridge' Exhibition

More about

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle called the sticky paste being mixed by women, at the Munitions Factory located just outside Gretna on the Anglo-Scottish Border, the 'Devil's Porridge' when he visited in 1916. The exhibition covers the manufacture of the highly dangerous cordite and other facets of development of the region at the time of the First World War.
