Stirling Castle has been the home of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders since 1881, and over the years, a number of objects and works of art have been donated and collected. However, it was not until 1988 that a museum was opened to display these objects.
The Museum's six galleries cover the Regiment's illustrious history, from the raising of the 91st Argyllshire Highlanders in 1794 to the present day, and the personal stories of the officers, soldiers and their families.
The Regimental Museum of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders is open throughout the year: from Easter to 30th September from 9.30am–5.00pm, from 1st October to Easter from 10.00am–4.15pm.
