More about

The United Reformed Church History Society (URCHS) was founded in 1972, when the Presbyterian Church of England and the Congregational Church in England and Wales joined together to become the United Reformed Church. The majority of its paintings were acquired by one of its predecessor bodies, the Presbyterian Historical Society of England, which was established in 1912 "to promote the study of the history of the Presbytery in England".

The paintings are held at Westminster College, Cambridge. We wish to stress that the URCHS paintings are not in public ownership. In accordance with the charitable aims of the Society, which is a private institution, we are including our paintings on this website for the principal benefit of wider academic awareness.
