Painter, who graduated from Glasgow School of Art, 1989–93, gaining her master’s there, 1993–5. Group exhibitions included Modern Art, Transmission Gallery, Glasgow, 1994; Swarm, The Travelling Gallery (Scottish Arts Council), tour, 1995; Insane Stoopid Phat Fuct Pervert, Concrete Skates, Glasgow, and Cubitt Gallery, 1996; and Satellite City, Catalyst Arts, Belfast, 1997. Had a solo show at Gallery Wilkes, Glasgow, 1995, later ones including Gallery Tre, Stockholm, and Dirty Burning at Andrew Mummery, 33 Great Sutton Street, both 1997. Sadie Coles HQ showed Morton’s new paintings in 2004.
