Cornet was born in London, and grew up immersed in the art world. She has many familiar relationships with artists in the Garman Ryan Collection: she is the great-granddaughter of Jacob Epstein and granddaughter of Lucian Freud.

In this work, Cornet has photographed the aftermath of a marathon in Vienna, then embellished the image with a swarm of colourful painted dots flowing into the distance, possibly reflecting the flow of energy left behind by the marathon runners, or a shower of confetti celebrating the end of the race.
