A statuary bronze and marble tablet dedicated to Robert Clay Sudlow, a Past Grand Deacon of the United Grand Lodge of England and Past Assistant Grand Sojourner of the Supreme Grand Chapter. Sudlow was a senior member of the Emulation Lodge of Improvement, a 'Lodge of Instruction', where freemasons can practice their masonic ritual. He introduced the Emulation matchbox award scheme – silver matchboxes were and still are today presented to any initiate who recites the Emulation Ritual without a mistake.
