This painting is a religious scene painted in glowing colours showing a male angel embracing a female figure. The work was illustrated in 'From Isles of the West to Bethlehem' by Grace Warrack, published in 1921. It was one of Traquair's most popular published works. A study for this work is on the back of the painting.
