This painting, donated to the Town Hall by the artist in May 1938, depicts the Ox Roast held in a field close by, and behind, the then 'new' Town Hall. It depicts several recognisable local inhabitants amongst the crowd celebrating the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
