Dr Patricia de Montfort lectures in History of Art at the University of Glasgow where she is also Research Curator for Whistler Studies at The Hunterian. Previous exhibition projects on Whistler include 'An American in London: Whistler and the Thames', 'James McNeill Whistler and Watercolour' and ‘Whistler and Nature,’ topics upon which she has also written and lectured extensively. Recent books include Louise Jopling: A Biographical and Cultural Study of the Modern Woman Artist in Victorian Britain (2016) and the exhibition catalogue, Whistler and Nature (2018).
