Sarah Thomas is a creative nonfiction writer and documentary filmmaker. She has been published in The Guardian, Dark Mountain, Earthlines Magazine, Caught by the River and in the anthology Women On Nature among others. A PhD in creative writing resulted in The Raven’s Nest, a memoir set in Iceland's Westfjords, where she once lived. It was longlisted for the Nan Shepherd Prize, shortlisted for the Fitzcarraldo Essay Prize and will be published by Atlantic in 2022. It is her first book.
